Default Kubota Skidsteer.... your thoughts

Ive heard quite a bit of rumor over Kubota in the market to make a Skid Steer.... anyone have more info/photos/truth behind this?

what I heard the reason for Kubota's skid steer:
kubota was in contract with bobcat for the engines and bobcat failed to hold up to the contract so Kubota will now make a competitive skid steer....

They've announced that they are working on one. Dealers will probably see it here around the end of Sept.

I wish they'd make a coffee maker. Ever since my first generation Black and Decker Space Saver died about five years ago, I've been averaging 1.6 coffee makers per year. I sense that Kubota one would last thousands of hours.

I am sure that you could come up with something mounted or wraped around the exhaust and have some hot coffee quick. It could even be featured in the Northern tool catalog next to the weedeater powered blender......Diesel powered Java maker.

Yes. I have high hopes, they've really been hitting the mark with the last few new products they came out with.

I'd have to second that....I am very eager to purchase a new tracked skid steer, but I won't until I see the new one from Kubota. If it's put together anything like their recent excavators it should be a real nice piece.

First generation of new product is always a little scary. Can be a disaster. JDs 200 series was not good. Skid steer market is really competitive now. Lots of good brands available with established models. Bobcat, Cat, Case, NH etc all have some good SS. Market is saturated IMHO and the economy is in a construction slump. Lots of kubota dealers already sell a SS brand. They may not be anxious to sell 2 brands. Bobcat has often been the innovator but they have become stale in new SS delvelopment. Maybe with Doosan as the owner that will change. IR owning bobcat was not good for the company.

i can tell you that they are coming out with a tracked skid steer loader. I would say we(dealer) will see it the end of september for next years release 2009. I think it will be a great addition to the kubota line.
