Re: Used BX2230 price check
The upside: I paid $9,900 for the combination of my BX2230 and my 60" deck. If I were selling mine now, $6,500 would be the lower threshold of my selling price, but mine has been stored inside, waxed, snuggled with, given at least one glass of red wine every night, and is in generally perfect shape. Don't know what your 2004 example looks like.
The downside: A loader will cost you another $2,500. I think having one of these machines is a little silly without the loader. Akin to buying a pickup without a bed. A 4 door Camry/Accord without the back seat. A Subaru without 4WD. A house without a bedroom. You catch my drift...a tractor without a loader.
If the machine is shiny, not bent, new seat, no rust, etc., then I think it's worth looking at for $6,500. But I'd also inquire about getting a Kubota LA211 loader with your purchase. I've seen the loader for the BX2230 from Woods and I don't like it nearly as much as the OEM loader.
