I am currently looking at upgrading my tractor from a B2710 to a GL3540 with turf tires, LA724 loader with QA 72" bucket and 72" mmm. I have a quote for the GL3540 tractor as equiped above for $25,000. Do you think this is a good quote and secondly does anyone with turf tires have any issues with loader work and snow removal? I will primarily use the tractor for lawn mowing; maintaining 300' of gravel drive; and some bushhogging. Total of around 5 acres.

Also does anyone have any idea of what I could expect to sell my 2000 B2710 tractor with LA402 loader and 72"mmm with roughly 950 hours? Tractor has always been garaged and in great condition.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

$25,000 seems a little high but I'm not sure what a 72" mmm costs. Also, what's the transmission, GST or HST Plus (HST costs about $1,000 more I think).

Also, I believe I read on here recently that Kubota had another price increase so the $25,000 may not be too bad, especially with the HST transmission.

I will say most Kubota posters on this site have bought the L3240 (3 hp less I believe and a couple thousand less money) and put the savings towards more attachments for their tractor. They feel the L3240 has pretty much the same capabilities as the L3540 and will do what they need it to do for less money.

(I'm assuming they didn't tell their wife anything about the "savings"!!!) ;)

I'm one that went with the 3240 and 724 loader. With the "savings" over the 3540 I'm looking to buy a BX.........

:D

PS the price does seem a bit high but there was the price increase.....

Im going to assume that 72" mower cost around 3K and the QA runs close to a grand. All in all, i dont think that price is too bad for the HST +.
