Still looking...
Has anyone bought a B2320?

Anyone upgraded from a B7500 series to a B2320 or one of the others?

I've been all over the place with what to buy, but have narrowed it down to a great deal on a B7500/B7510 or a new B2320.

Any input on the 2320/2620/2920 with a loader? Is it stronger than the B7500 series?

I just purchased a B2320 w/FEL to replace my B7300. I bought it mainly for the power steering and additional room in the floorboard area. Last week I hooked my 52" tiller to it and was impressed by how effortlessly it handled it. Full buckets of driveway stone have also been no problem. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the B7300 for similar tasks because I bought it during the winter. So far I'm really impressed. Hope this helps.

tommyz270,
I'm gonna take it one more step. If you REALLY think you will keep the tractor you buy a long time........ Buy the 2620. The new leftover 7610 you found sitting on a dealers lot was definitely not enough of a deal to choose over the new 2320. Therefore..... out of the two I'd recommend the 2320. BUT........ if you are now looking at new, go one more step and buy the 2620. Its a little more money, but you will get the larger wheels/tires for more ground clearance........ more PTO HP, and the same loader that comes on the 2920, with more lift capacity. The new 20 series tractors are a really nice improvement on the 10 series (which were great tractors). Having the loader valve at your right hip,the three range transaxle, and the integrated backhoe from Kubota are three great inprovements. Might as well get the one you really want up front !

Though I never used the B7x10 series tractors doing work, I did drive several of them around when I was tractor shopping. The new B2x20 series are nicer to operate, smoother, quieter ( no noticable hydro whine), and very convienient with the new operator layout. Not because I have one, but because of the things Ductape mentioned, I would strongly consider the B2620. I've used mine now through the seasons for a year, and other than position control I doubt that I would change much . I know guys that have both the B2920, and B2320, and both are happy also.

For mostly finish mowing I would choose the B2320 with turfs, for mostly bush hogging I would choose the B2920 perhaps, and for most uses I have been happy with the middle one.

I've been looking over the specs and they seem to be similar, but with more horsepower on the 2620 and the 2920.

Another good thing about the 2620 and the 2920 is that the loader is more heavy duty and can lift more weight.

How do you like the placement of the knob for the loader? On these, they moved them closer to the seat and it almost seems in the way. Is it? Are there any pros/cons?

I can only comment on the loader valve layout as someone who was looking at the 20 series when they hit the market last year. My experience with them was limited to the dealer's parkinglot...... but I felt they hit a homerun with the placement. Its one thing I've always felt JD had all over the Kubota. I just find it very comfortable to operate.

I think the 2620 is the best value in the small Bs. There are definitely ares each would accel in, like mowing with the 2320.... or snowblowing with the 2920. The 2620 is just a good balance in the 20 series.

If the quick change for the loader from the 3200 is available on the 2620, that is something I might think about.

If I were buying a B new, and had a need for a hoe, I would 100% get kubota's hoe. Its integrated design keeps the tractor more compact with the hoe much tighter to the tractor.

Tractor shopping can drive you nuts, eh?

yeah, it's driving me nuts, but it's been fun...

Just wish there were better resources to get true costs to know how to hit the dealer's quote. Something like cars.com or kelly blue book would be nice.

The best thing is that these things hold their value extremely well, it's amazing how much even used ones go for. That's good news in case something ever happened and I needed to get from underneath it, I can always sell it quick. Maybe I shouldn't even say that outloud....

The placement of the FEL control lever is just ONE of the big reasons I chose the Kubota B2620. The Kubota placement leaves the operator more room for the right leg; my right leg rested against the one on the JD 2320 so if I needed to curl the bucket I had to move my right leg inboard to the left away from the lever each time. Good luck and enjoy the research; I know I did! I thought the only tractor was John Deere; I am now a die hard Kubota man when it comes to tractors below 100 HP! :p
