Have gone out to local (upstate NY) dealers for written quotes on the following package, delivered to our place:

L3400 4x4 gear shift, new, 2009 model year
LA463 FEL with quick detach bucket
three chain hooks on bucket
block heater
grille guard
rear work light
ag tires, filled
foldable ROPS

Before we had the catalog in hand for final options selection, one local dealer verbally quoted $18,900 for the tractor & FEL with QD bucket, ag tires and foldable ROPS (what he had on the lot ready to go).

Any thoughts on what would be "reasonable" pricing these days would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds high to me it should be more in the 16,800 range. Call another dealer or two and price the tractor. At the price he quoted you are not that far from a L3240 price..

Also right now if it a cash sale there is a rebate of $1,000 which would make it around $15,800

Hope this helps a little

Tractor prices vary a little from state to state but it should not be far off

Thats approximately the same price I was quoted for an L2800HST last year with the same options except R4 tires and no hooks on the bucket. With some shopping you might be able to whittle about $500 off, but your definately in the ballpark.

Tractors (all brands) and trailers seem cost a lot more in the Northeast than other parts of the country. Not sure why.

You can get the L3240 with HST and 724 loader for that price if you shop around. The dealer is asking way way to much.

Thanks for the input, folks. Best delivered price ended up being $18,700, so that's what we're going to do. Should be bushhogging and moving rocks (not at the same time) by suppertime on Friday!

Was just quoted 18.5K for a Tractor/Loader with Ag Tires. Probably gonna do the deal.
