Kubota M8540HD-12 2010
Well, I never really posted anything when I ordered my tractor, but I figured I would now that is has finally arrived at the dealer from Kubota.

I ordered an M8540HD12 with R4s, LA1353 FEL with Self Leveling Valve (I now see how this works) and 3rd Function Valve, 2 remotes and several other options.

As far as implements, I ordered an 8' grading scraper, 6' rotary cutter, pallet forks, ballast box and a quick hitch.

A couple of the implements and the 3rd function valve have not arrived yet, so I'm not sure when I will take delivery. The dealer said they also have to go over the tractor (some sort of dealer prep?) before they can let me have it.

I was pretty pumped when I got the call. Took a few pics and drove it around the parking lot. :D

After just building a new home on 13 acres, I still have a ton of tractor work to do. Can't wait until I get to put this machine to work.

Wow, that is one nice looking tractor. It looks huge compared to the 2630 I have ordered.

Thanks for the nice comments. I spent several months researching before I finally ordered it. At one point I couldn't decide between an M7040 and an M8540, but then a customer brought his M8540 in for service. I got to look it over and the decision was made.

The salesman at the local Kubota dealer, bless his heart, was very patient and extremely helpful. I am so happy I went with this brand... not only because of the tractor itself, but the dealer is first class. Knowledgeable, small-town friendly, and extremely helpful/accomodating. Plus, the dealer is two or three miles from my house.

When I finally ordered it, the salesman said the features I wanted meant they had to special order it, because he could not find anything close in the dealer network.

It looks really small with those R4s. The R1s are a lot taller and fill up the wheel well. It is kind of funny, when you get R1s, there are a lot of tire size options. When you order R4s, you get what you get.

Timing on delivery is pretty good. The rain is slowing down and I am ready to start work on my big jobs that are waiting for the tractor. Although I have been chompin' at the bit to get this thing, I really couldn't have done much.

I'll add more photos when I take deliver and get some implements hooked up.

Congrats on your new purchase! You will really enjoy this unit and your seat time. It loves to work and makes it fun to get the job done. I have put more hours on our M8540 than on the B3030 already. The hard part is convincing your better half that you are out there "working". :)
