Can anyone who owns a 4690 backhoe post the technical specs? I've noticed that the technical specs in the kubota tractor and implement owner's guides are more detailed than in their literature. Here are a few things in particular that I'm interested in.

- Weight

- PTO pump GPM capacity

- Bucket struck and heaped capacities (most interest in 16" bucket, but others would be interesting too.)

If anyone wants the full data on a 2910 and 402 FEL, I'd be happy to reciprocate.

Thanks,

Peter

Hayden: if you're considering buying a backhoe (if not, ignore the following),look at the woods 7500 hoe-I looked into this backhoe thing in detail and ended up buying the woods because of its substantial subframe advantages and its great customer satisfaction comments.I have been more than satisfied and have used it under all circumstances.I also have a B2910 and the 7500 is a nice match. If interested I'll send you the specs via e-mail.Dan

Thanks for the pointer. I've used the woods too, but want a 3PH for a variety of reasons.

Peter, I don't have a 4690, but since no one with one has answered yet, I will pass along what I know.

16" bucket struck capacity 1.08 cu ft, Heaped 1.39 cu ft

I am not sure of the 4690 weight, but the 4672 weighs 845 lbs and the 4690 is almost the same except it would weigh a little more. I don't know if that includes the bucket and PTO pump, hoses, oil etc or not. Some manufactures quote weight with the bucket and some without.

Have no information on the pump flow.

The 4690 does have more bucket digging force than the Woods 7500. 2950 lbs vs 2600lbs. The Woods 16" bucket has a heaped capacity of 1.66 cu ft. The 7500 weighs 1000 lbs although I don't know if that includes a bucket or not. The 7500 has a 6 GPM flow requirement.

Hope this was of some help,

Andy

Yes, that helps - thanks.

I got the bucket data from my dealer today and you are confirming it.

You are also answering another question which is whether the Woods bucket capacities are struck or heaped. They publish numbers in their brochure, but don't say what it is. Heaped makes sense.

I've been using a Woods 6500 3PH with a 16" bucket and I like the size of the bucket. I'm a bit bothered by the 20% difference in capacity and am wondering if I should just keep the bucket off the woods. I'm assuming it will fit, but don't know.

By the way, the 4690 is 1005lbs with the 16" bucket.

The base weight for the 4690 in the sales book is 912lbs less the bucket.

Do you have access to a sales book? Seems that's where the real info is. Can you list the buckets supported on the 4690? I have literature that gives capacities for different bucket models, but there is no way to tell which buckets go with which BHs.

Thanks much,

Peter

The 16" bucket you inquired about before is a BT1952 and add's 93lbs to the b-hoe weight.
