I have an opportunity to buy a BX1830. 60"mmm. 910 hours.

It looks really clean. The dealer installed a new Rhino 2405 FEL.

The unit was used only for residential mowing.
I expect I may need to take a look at the deck pulley bearings (just as a baseline). Everything else looked really clean.

Questions:
- any experience with Rhino FELs?
- what does $7800 sound like for the unit?

I'll post some pics of it later tonight.

This would be my first "real" tractor. I'm looking forward to it, but need the collective wisdom here to advise on the hours, FEL, and price.

Thanks,
uberhahn

That sounds a little high to me on the price. I wouldn't say that is a lot of hours for a BX, but that price would look better if it had less hours. Get on Tractorhouse.com and get a feel for prices.

I don't now about the BX1830 but the BX1850 was a serious POS.

I had a BX1850 and hated it. It had the optional cracking plastic deck. I started looking much closer at John Deere after the disaster I had with the BX1850.

I sold mine with 75 hours and 3 months on it for $10,000. That was with the Kubota FEL installed and the 54" MMM.

If you can find one buy a BX1500...
