Default B7500 Price report

Took my first trip to a couple of dealers yesterday - one Kubota and one NH. With help from these forums I've narrowed my list down to the Kubota B7500 and NH TC21D (with the JD 4100 and Kubota B2410 as outside shots). I live in CT, but both dealers I went to are in MA.

For the B7500HSD with a 54" mid-mount mower, LA302 loader, and turf tires, the quote was $15,000 even (tax not included). From looking at past posts, this price seems competitive if not the lowest. My first impression of the dealer was pretty good - if anyone in the area is looking for a Kubota and wants to hear more, please send me an email.

I was wondering why you didn't check out the Kubota dealerships in CT.

I live very close to the MA border, so it just happened that the first two closest dealers for me were in MA. I don't necessarily have anything against the CT dealers and I plan to check them out too.

I went to Leahy Equipment in Holyoke. As I had said, this was the first dealer I had spoken to and I picked up some good information. I showed up at the same time as a guy who was there looking at a B7300 with about 600 hours on it.

While the three of us were talking I mentioned something about ther being a Kubota dealer that sells equipment on-line, and the dealer said "I bet you were on tractorbynet.com". No big deal I guess, but I was kind of impressed that he knew about the site since it seems like most dealers don't even bother having any Internet presence.

Hi Wheeldog,

I know you didn't ask for this, but if you have not purchased your unit yet you may want to shop in tax-free New Hampshire. It is a couple of hours additional drive from Ct., but it may be worth it. At Chappell tractor, just over the border from Mass., a b7500hsd with mid-54" mower, bar-turf tires, (which supposedly are a $100 upgrade from the straight turfs), and 302 loader is $15,200. This includes loading the rear tires with CaCl2.

In the end, I ended up with the 60" mower, and a 72" tilting grader blade too, for $15,800. Having lived in Mass. up until last summer, it was nice not to pay the extra $790 in tax .

In any case, it is a great tractor! Good luck.

AC

Yep that true for now "No Sale Tax"
But its just a matter of time, maybe this coming year a sale tax.

Like the motto on the lic plates say in New Hampshire. "Live Free or Die"
Maybe they should have a new motto,Pay Taxes and Die.

apcaruso and Thomas,

Thanks for the advice - I'm probably still a month or so from buying, so it's definitely something I'll consider. Are you pretty sure that the NH dealers do not charge sales tax, even if they deliver out of state? I was surprised to hear from the dealer that I did speak to that if they deliver the equipment in CT, then they collect CT sales tax (6% v. 5% for MA). A CYA type of thing, I guess.

I've only bought from them living in NH (just down the road)

Wheeldog,
I know of a New Holland dealer in Vermont who has deliver to New Hampshire and the sales taxs wasn't added on.

Than there a Kubota dealer who doesn't add tax {if he knows you well } if he should deliver outside of New Hampshire..thats if its not to far.

My view is these dealer are not out only to sell tractors, but to keep the costumer coming back also spread the word.

You said your about a month away from a purchasing a tractor, now thats what I call a christmas present.

Stay safe and have fun shopping for your tractor.
