I've got a Kubota B2910 and a Woods 7500 with subframe and pump.
I would recommend you get the 7500 instead of the 6500. The extra reach is well worth the difference. The Kubota 4690 is a 7 1/2 foot backhoe as is the Woods 7500. The Woods 6500 is only a 6 1/2 foot backhoe.
The B2910 will handle a 7 1/2 foot hoe and I recommend you get one with that reach.
If you get a Woods hoe, I would also recommend the heavy duty top-link bracket for your B2910 that is available from Kubota. That bracket is, I believe, included with the Kubota hoe's. The bracket and mounting bolts are about $80 or so.
You should be able to get a Woods 7500 with subframe and separate pump for less than the Kubota 4690. That's the way it was when I bought mine back in June 2000.
Oh yeah, and Woods backhoes are available painted in Kubota orange.
If you're not going to get a sub-frame mount for some reason, I would only "trust" a Kubota 3 pt. hoe due to warranty considerations.
There are several members on this board with Woods and Kubota hoes on B2910's or similar size tractors, so you should get a lot of input.
