Dreary.drizzly day here. I was off work and couldn't do the chores I needed to, so I went out to look at tractors. As I still don't know what I want, I got a few prices.

BX 22 w/ 60" MMM - $ 16,110

B7800 HSD w/ LA402 FEL - $15,620

B2410 HSD w/ LA 352 FEL - $15,495

RCK60-27B 60" MMM - $2,166
Woods 6500 Backhoe - $5,500

From what I've read here, except for the BX 22, these prices seem kind of high. What do y'all think?

BTW - prices do not include sales tax but do include on-site delivery, orientation and free pick-up/delivery for warranty work during the first 50 hrs or 50 days (whichever comes first).

don't know what area u are from, but those prices don't seem too bad. why do u think the bx price was ok? more $$$ with only the mower and no loader? if it was me i would go with the b2410 or b7800.

The BX22 comes with a loader and a back hoe included.

I'm in the Atlanta area. I based my assessment on what I've seen here. The BX22 is in line with the prices others have posted (certainly lower than those in the NE), but the 2410 and 7800 quotes were $500-$700 more. Furthermore, some have purchased a 2910 for what I was quoted for the 7800. I've also seen on this forum the Woods 7500 subframe backhoe has been purchased for the same price I was quoted for the 6500 3PH model.

Bob B. answered the other part of your question.

Hi Bmac,

I just bought a 7800, not delivered yet, and you are about 1,000 under what I got it for. I looked around, thought about an internet deal, but wanted to deal locally. I got;

B7800 HSD
420 FEL
60" RM
60" Rear Blower
Chains
Filled Rear Wheels
BLock Heater

$19400, delivery etc included

As I've said I don't have a breakdown, but quick math shows you are doing good on your base price.

Thanks,

Frank

I just recieved a qoute today in South East
Michigan for a B7800 402FL mid pto for $15400 plus tax.

I also went to another dealer and the same tractor had a price tag of $16,000. I am not ready to buy yet but the saleman said it was negotiable when I was serious. I Just have to convince the wife that I don't want to take 3 days to mow 5 acres when I can get a compact tractor and do it possibly in a day. So far she is not budging. Why is it that wives don't understand this kinda stuff? I have been reading this forum for a long time over 3 years, great source of info. Just moved into our new house on 10 acres. I hope to post more. Take care

The price that you got on the B7800 w/ 402 loader I bought my B2910 w/ 402 loader. The price on the 6500 Backhoe I could get a 7500 Backhoe. I would keep working on the prices.

Thanks,
Yeah, I kept lookin' alright. Sadly, there are not any local orange dealers (by local I mean 15-20 miles from me). The dealer I got quotes from was abot an hour away. So, I started looking at Blue and I think I can swing a much better deal here. Plus, the dealer is a neighbor and friend. Now, just trying to finalize decision on which one.
