I am looking for some thoughts on purchasing an L3130HST. I have found one that is a 2004 with about 880 hours, turf tires, quick-attach 72" bucket on L723 loader with 3 pt. back blade. The front tires need to be replaced. They are useable, but well worn. The front light assembly has a broken lens, but the lights work. I checked the filters under the left and right floorboards and they were replaced in January 2011 at 863 hours, so I assume it was fully serviced at that time. I removed the dipstick in the rear and the oil was clear looking like it had been changed. Owner said he had the tractor serviced at a local Cub Cadet dealer. I didn't ask or check if the engine had been serviced also, but I would think so. I drove the tractor a short distance, shifted through all ranges and it seemed to work fine. The owner will take $12K. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

Sounds good to me, my 2003 L5030 HSTC had 735 hours on it and I have put a little over 600 more on it. I had to replace the front tires also.

I had a L3130 HST,very good all around tractor. The 723 is the larger loader of the two that were available.I only traded up to get a cabbed tractor.Hours are not bad at all about 125/yr.Price doesn't sound too bad,if the paint is not faded and the rubber looks good.

I have the same tractor and paid 12,000 two years ago with 400 hours. I have 900 hours now and its been a really good tractor.

Camer,
Since you also live in the UP, I was wondering if you have turf tires on your tractor and how do they do in the snow? I guess I'd appreciate anyone with an L3130HST with turf tires telling me how it does in a snowy environment?

Yes i do. I plow snow with a 7 1/2 western blade and never had a problem.
