Default 7500vs jd4100

The kubota controls appear not well thought out. Foot controls appear an afterthought. Why is weight of kubota lighter? Warranty seems not as good? Am I missing reasons to buy the kubota over the deere?

Carl, there's been a lot of discussion about weight differences between different, but comparable, brands. Does the weight listed include fluids, tires and wheels, etc.? Re: The kubota controls appear not well thought out. What's the problem? I'm happy with mine. I guess we're just talking about personal preference, and everyone should buy the one he/she likes best. Re: Warranty seems not as good? What do you find better about the John Deere warranty?

I didn't know that Deere had extended it's warrantee to 24months on every thing and 36 months on tractor and drive train or 5 years or 3000 hours on emission related parts. Thats a start how are you going to equip the tractor belly mower? take a good look! Loader take a look at the lift capacity! Need more?

Carl. I have a 4100 and have no complaints. It's a great little tractor. I also looked at the B7500 and was also very impressed. I ended up with JD because of a sale price that I couldn't pass up. The weight difference is this: JD uses old style AG equipment technology -heavy cast iron components in the undercarraige. Kubota uses lighter weight (but just as strong) steel castings and a steel frame. Both brands are very reliable and will last a good long time and return a good resale price. I would also look at the New Holland TC18 and TC 21 models. I like the 20 HP compact tractor size as an ideal fit between the garden tractor and larger compact tractor size units. It seems like unless you have lots of land or very substantial tasks, that these are an ideal size. One more thing-I would go with the brand that has the most friendly and responsive local dealer. That really is more important than it seems.

Carl, I too was looking for a 20hp compact tractor and was just about as close to buying a B2410 as you could get. I just recieved my Power-Trac PT425 yestarday. You should realy take a close look at these. (www.power-trac.com), 100% American built and very well thought out. Not to mention cheaper!!
