Buying Advice Used BX or riding mower vs. current 1991 Case 1130

I have a 1991 Case 1130 (made by Mitsubishi same as many Cub Cadets, Mahindra 2016). This series of tractor is much larger than box and b series physically. It is 2wd gear tractor with AG tires and 1225hrs. I bought it to skid logs and bush hog brush on my 2acre wooded
lot and help on the families 55 acre farm. I have a 4 ft bush hog, 5 ft finish mower, 6ft straight blade and a boom pole. I also have a crappy sears lt1000 geared rider with 38inch deck. I am also inheriting a Scotts S2554 rider hydrostatic, 54 inchdeck and HD tufftorque 66 trans.

I would like a loader and hydrostatic drive and turf or R4 tires to reduce ruts on the yard.

Option 1: buy a used bx 1500 or 2200 with loader and 54 inch mid mount deck for between 7500 and 9000. Sell my case and all the implements and buy new implements.

Option 2: keeps tractor and use Scotts and sears to cut yard and get a 4000 dollar aftermarket loader.

you'd be much happier with quality and strength and how long it lasts with a BX instead of a aftermarket stuff. less breakdowns and issues. however I would look at higher model numbers if you can since the newer models has more versatility and easier to take loader off when needed. The 15 and 22 series do have loader take offs but the newer designs has joysticks that stay ON the tractor.

YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH A BX they are a CRAFTSMAN lawn mower with a bucket i say buy a b series Kubota or an L SERIES WOULD FIT WELL TO HELP AROUND THE FARM I HAD AN 245 IH AN 1989 I SKIDDED logs with that plowed an tilled so an L32 or l3800 would work for you i had an L3800 the is a little heavier then my old case 245 i think you ll be happy with one i traded for a 70hp only beause the loader cap oh the guy down behind my place has a bx25 in 18 inces of snow a few yrs ago i got mu truck stuck it was a 100 foot from my main road it took 3+ hrs to get me out i fell in my ruts from days before the snow they were 10-12inchs deep the bx couldnt push me out we used the hoe on the bx to put all the wieght of the bx on my bumper i was able to get out if i would of had the l3800 it would of did it i ran that case 245 almost 20 years good luck the cap on the case fel was 600ibs at the pp they are are 1400 on the 3800 855 500mm forward of the pp or at the cutting edge of the bucket

i dont care radioman i have put close to 2k hrs on that case 245 dragging loggs and plowing andtill i know wat a bx is nothing more then a old cab cadet or older bolons with a fel a bx cant drag a log over 6 '' round 20' long the case a 20' 20'' inch round logg even on ice chained up wood in the 5 foot bucket

I could use stronger words but feel it wouldn't make any difference. I totally agree with you and I've owned several BXs, Bs and one L. It's the Craftsman thing that .....well........OK I agree with you.
