Kubota B2650 & B3350

Seems to be very few 2650 or 3350's out west. I flew 250 miles to see a 2650 today. First impressions:

With cab closed, engine noise was well muffled and hydro whine was not as bad as expected. It is the dominant sound, of course, not overly loud (for a tractor). Fit and finish, especially on the cab was very good. The rest was typical Kubota, which is to say not bad at all.

Now I just have to decide if I want the 26 or the 33. I'll be installing a 62" front mount snowblower and I live almost a mile up, so the 33's turbo and additional horse power would be welcome in the snow, but those extra PTO ponies cost $500 each!

Comments or advice is most welcome.

62" front blower combined with high altitude, 26hp will most likely lack power in wet/heavy snow situation, it is not a brute, even just for loader work, it could use the extra ponies.

Thanks for the link, though I have previously read it, and most everything else I could find over a few weeks of searching! Honest, I've tried to do due diligence on this (it's a lot of money!). Since the 3350's have only recently started delivery, there's not a lot in the way of reviews . . .

I previously owned a 24 hp Kubota, one of the first HSTs, so am aware of the bogging down thing. However, since these two tractors share the same hydraulic flow and pressure, I was assuming that those systems would behave the same. And the extra horsepower and torque of the 33 would only be apparent in top speed and at the PTO's . . . No?? So I'd think loader and BH bogging down would be the same, but not so with the snowblower driven off the PTO of course.

I am concerned about not having enough HP for the blower with the 2650. Some say the rule of thumb is 5HP for each foot of snowblower width.

Will non cab models be available on these two units?

That setup makes it look like an oversized garden tractor

A big part of the reason I ordered a B3350 was the cab. That and the tractor is the right size, as bigger would have presented storage and transportation issues. If I hadn't needed (okay, wanted) the cab, there are a whole lot of other less expensive options in the way of nice low time used tractors out there.

I wonder how well the Bxx50's will do in their cab-less version?

I'll be interested to learn when these cabless B250's are coming out.

Thanks for posting this.
