Default Present from Dealer

I bought my BX22 last April and have put almost 200 hours on it. I love this machine. I use it from dusk till dawn and all on my own property; as of yet. I even use the loader to take my trash to the curb. I was taking my trash out last week and checked the mail. Low and behold, it wasn't all bills and junk. I had received a small box and a letter from my Kubota dealer. I opened the letter which read Happy Holidays and my dealer was happy to have served me this past year. Then I opened the box which contained a small knife with Kubota stamped on one side and my dealers name on the other. I don't remember how I was feeling before I opened the box but I felt great the rest of the day. Yeah it was made in China, but it was definately the thought that counted. Here is a shaky pic of the knife. I bought the tractor at Abingdon Equipment Company in, of course, Abingdon, VA. I also like that his number is stamped on the knife. I don't have to hunt his number now. But then that may have been the intention so I will buy attachments from him.

I have 2 John Deere hats with my dealers phone number on the front and an American flag made in China. Part of my tractor is made in Japan and part of it in Mexico, then it is put together in Atlanta.
The hat and phone number sure has been handy,I use the phone number more than the hat.

That is a nice little gift. Doesn't really cost the dealer much, but pays a great return in customer relations. Its too bad more people in sales don't understand the concept.

Nice knife. I bought a tractor two years ago and only got a great deal and excellent service. No hat or knife or anything. It's so hard to get a good looking Kubota hat that I have to buy John Deere hats and because I didn't by a Deere tractor they make me pay for them. They look really funny painted orange. Ohh..man! Don't wear green! Your dealer can get you all kinds of different Kubota hats. Or if that's too much trouble, check out tractorsmart or http://www.kubotastore.com

The dealer that I spent 20 grand with wouldn't even return my e-mail notes about a quote on a backhoe for the thing. He did give me a great price on the tractor.. but after that I was on my own. I've since found a closer dealer who sold me the backhoe and while his prices are a bit higher.. so is his level of customer service.

still didn't get a knife though!
