I just got a call from my dealer. They are going to give me $17,200 trade in on my L3800HST with loader, BH77, mechanical thumb and toothbar with 585 hours on it. Does that seem low? I'm looking to trade in on a Grand L. He mentioned going to the L4600 if they are still available, but I like HST+ on the Grand.

I put L3900 in the title. It's an L3800HST.

Man, I wish you had mentioned something sooner. I would of given you more than that for it.

That seems pretty low on a model that is in high demand...

I think it is low also. I am going to put it up for sale. What is a good asking price, maybe $23000, or is that too high?

It does have R4's. It has 585 hours on it. Here are some pics I took the other day: WP_20140908_013.jpgWP_20140908_014.jpgWP_20140908_011.jpg

There are 2 good comps on tractorhouse right now.

One has similar hours but no hoe for 15.9k I'd say your hoe is worth 5-6k so 21-22k based on that one

The other is the same but only 200hrs. its 24.9k. I'd deduct a few grand for having more hours. That puts you at 23k

So yea, I think the dealer is a bit low.

23k sounds about right for a starting price and still leave you some wiggle room to negotiate. But the two biggest things that are going to effect the price is condition and location. Here in the midwest the tractors seem to sell a bit less than places like the new England states or the southern states.

The condition on the machine is good I would say except the buckets make it look crappy. :) I would settle for $20,000 when it is all said and done. I live in farm land which is a good thing.

I don't see why you couldn't get 21k for that, imho.

Not having a tier 4 engine may make it more valuable?
