Hey folks....has anyone seen or used the new BX snowblower (BX5450)? I'd like to know the difference between this and last years model.

Also, been quoted 3200 for everything I need to put one on my BX2360....any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have the 2750 and it sure does throw snow. Price sound about what I paid, too. Never heard of the 5450 though so I can't help you there.

I hadn't heard of the 5450, so I went to the Kubota site to check it out. When I use the builder tool and add a front snowblower to a new BX, the quote comes back with the 2750 blower still, so I guess they haven't updated their web site yet.

Anyway, the reason I went out to check is that seemed like a really low price from when I priced them before. However, I realize now I was adding both the chute rotation and chute deflection kit. Without adding those, the list price for the blower, front hitch, and PTO driveline kit adds up to $3205.

So, it appears there isn't a price difference to the new one, that is if you are not getting either of those chute kits.

Sorry, I have no clue if there are any other physical differences.

Do you already have the "Quick attach and subframe" for your tractor? (Kubota site shows this as B2733A for your B2620 tractor.) It shows that as another $967. But then again, it is still showing the BX2750D as the snow blower number...

If you don't have the subframe, and they aren't including it in the quote, I'm wondering if the new BX5450 has some sort of it's own mounting system, not requiring the subframe, and that might be the difference??

Yea i already have the B2733A (i have a snowplow... but the drifting snow is just too much to move by plow and bucket)

I called another kubota dealer they had BX2750D in stock and B2781D in stock.

They priced me out has B2781D + Driveshaft (mid and front) = $4400

eeek.... I swear the kubota guy told my dad he'd get him the blower and everything for $2500.

All in all i just want a 51" front mount blower with Hydraulic chute rotator is that so much to ask? Lol

I've often thought about a 2750 for my BX1500, I already have the subframe quick hitch.

If you're handy with tools, welding, etc, it's easy to fabricate a bracket to mount a car power window motor for chute rotation (eBay, about $30). I used a short length of rubber hose with a couple of hose clamps as the "coupling" between motor gearbox and chute rotation worm screw. Chute deflection is by 12 volt 4" stroke linear actuator (eBay - around $80). I used a joystick switch mounted below the loader joystick, but a couple of toggle switches would work just as well. The 2750 is a great snowblower on the BX.
