WOW this has been one experience for sure.

1. temp guage was not working.
2. left door was not right.
3. right door shock was missing.
4. radio cut out when any one was on; fan, strobe light, dome light.

Thank god nothing else.

I fixed them all.
1. I fixed my temp guage, wire was off. (And it was not me that pulled it or by accident).

2. curtis was kind to send me spacers, I put both on the top hinge to the left door, now it's perfect, but now I have a slight tear in the rubber gasket from the door being way to tight when you closed it before I installed the spacers.

3. curtis was kind to send me a new pair of door shock's, dealer claims only one was sent, curtis says they ship 2, but in the parts list it only shows 1, sooooo.......

4. ground wire behind radio was loose, and antenna was not hitting ground from the mount, so I scrapped paint for good ground for the antenna and squeezed the ground connection so it was tight, I still have the dome killing the reception but that is livable and everything else seems good sooooo.........

Thats it so far.
Other than that I absolutely love this tractor, I am down to 120lbs in the back and hauled lots of dirt with no problems most likely due to all the extra weight of the cab, and I love the cab.

Note on the side mirrors, I get lots of glare, if I were to do it again I would have gotten a back up camera instead, now I need to install one in the future, BUT I don't really know how foggy that will be in the winter sooo, maybe just leave be.

Note 2: the 3 point hitch, what a pain in the !@#, wow everything else is soo easy to change but that 3 point, anyway I have ordered one set of stabilizers from Mark to take care of that.

I have not removed the mower deck yet.
Thats it for now, thanks to all!!!!

I had some grounding issues with my Curtis cab as well. Easy enough to fix once you figure it out. The other cab problems seem like they should have been caught by the dealer. In my case the dealer was the one who did the install. I like the back of your cab better than mine, I have the previous version and it has a vinyl canvas curtain that snaps on. It serves the purpose but it doesn't seal real tight. I may try to build something like what you have.

Hi,
The dealer installed mine as well.
I can post my cab part break down if that will help you at all?
Curtis has been great to me, maybe they will sell you the rear piece? If your interested.
But you have the backhoe (I do not) and I think that one is different than my version, so...

Yeah, unfortunately it's different. If I thought it would fit I'd call Curtis in a heartbeat but it's pretty obvious to me that it won't. Thanks anyway!

Well I mowed it over quite a bit today.

Again a snowblower and loader would be extremely tight or not fit at all in the garage soo....

I looked into the fine cut deck.......
I did find some great info, but absolutely no evidence of it being not good, matter in fact the few that owned it (one or 2 actually had both kinds or tried them) said they liked the fine cut better, BUT what I did read is that it forces the grass up and out more than the standard and that is exactly what I need and wanted. (assuming what I read is correct)

Thank you bp fick, that was what I was assuming, and yes I do have enough room to push it back.

I still want to thank you all for some great input!!

I went with what I originally thought,
*BX2370-1 With turf tires
*54" fine cut mower MMM (mid mount mower)
*Loader Quick Hitch (this is for the loader and plow, for very easy switching)
*FEL (front end loader)
*60" Blade
*Dealer installed hydraulics for 60" Blade angle adjustment (with added control for it, they are still poking at what way they want to install for me)
*Ballast box (yah I know put something else in the rear, but I could not think of any and my storage problem)
*All 4 tires of R4 for winter or if needed at other times
*Curtis Heated Hard Cab with front wiper and
-rear wiper
-switch panel / fuse block
-front and a rear work lights
-strobe
-defroster fan (and summer)
-side view mirror kit
-interior dome light

They gave me $800 for my craftsman wow, very happy with this.

I am happy with this so now its the wait. Now I need to find these maintenance threads some mentioned here.

Please don't let my decision stop you all from posting, your thoughts are very well taken in and I am still very interested what you all would have done, by me and many others that will read this.......

I am curious about the hydraulic issue with the blade angle adjustment. Doesn't the factory valve (four connections) supply both raise and angle adjustment?

Hi,
I have the quick hitch with loader and plow for it, the other plow is different and hooks up different, so since mine is quick to swap between the two, I use the loader arms all the time, so it's up, down, tilt back, tilt forward.

So I wanted tilt left and right, a 3rd hydrolic option, not standard on Kubota bx, so my dealer installed the 3rd option and added ther hydrolic cylinder to the plow.

So now I have up, down, tilt back, tilt forward, tilt left, tilt right. See my pictures for the electric control of it.

It is very convenient and sweet. 6 six hydrolic lines instead of 4.

Hi all,
I have a question at the moment?
- When my Kubota is running idle, it sounds great, BUT since this is my first tractor with diesel I think the next is normal but want to make sure.
- When running at 2K to 2.5k on the tachometer, I hear a very slight exhaust and or ticking, it is very slight and has done this since day one, I should have asked before but never got around to it, any insight on this please?

Now on to my tire dilema ..........

Since delivery of this tractor I have had tire issues, one front tire keeping air, SO....
1. I took the tire to my dealer and they tried some reseating and stuff, picked up the tire and same thing....
2. I went back to my dealer and told him, he said to bring both front back in (even though I never had a problem with my other front, I know bad mistake) and he would tube both (DON'T TUBE these at all!! read on), so he tubed both.....
3. One night picking up leaves in the dark I noticed something was wrong with my steering, so I stopped and found out I was driving on 2 front flat tires, so flat they were riding on the rims. (I have my other set of tires so I changed them in the dark, yes I was VERY upset, but easy to do with the loader, I am just glad I had the bucket on).
4. I took both back to my dealer to find out the other people were no longer their, due to whatever they did not want to get into with me, BUT the new person said he would never use tubes in these, he would pull the tubes and gat back to me.
5. I went back in a few weeks after (I am in no rush as I have my other tires) and one he fixed but the other would not hold air, and told me the tubes were put in wrong (pinching with the tire bead) and would have gone no matter what, so I left the one he fixed to pick them both up together.
6. I just went back (now over a month) and they lost the one they repaired, they said they would replace it, BUT the other he came out with and said it had a cut in the tire and I needed to pay for a new tire now....
7. So far I refused to pay for the tire as it was never right since day one and the cut most likely happened when I was driving on the flat tires somehow. They said they were going to look into it again and get back to me.

Now that I have my agg's on (other tires), one front went flat on me, I put some fix a flat in so far. This is just amazing.... BUT if this is the only thing that I have to deal with then so be it, it's not that bad at all.

Thats it for now!!
I am going to also get synthetic Kubota oil's online as my dealer almost a year in still has none in stock, is there anyplace cheaper to get this form online please?

For at least the past 10 years at least one front tire on the BXs has had a problem with leaking air. Most people resolved it with the tire slime. I've had my dealer pay for tubes for two of mine over the years under warranty after paying for several myself. Someone here posted about their dealer paying for theirs under warranty. Mine were always turf tires going flat until a few months ago when the R4 industrial tire on the BX25D-1 I owned went flat. Had tube installed and it went flat in a couple of weeks. I took it back to the tire shop and they retubed it correctly and never had any more issues. I personally think the tube installed correctly is the best solution. I took bill to Kubota dealer and a month later picked up my money. Barlows told me to do it that way.

I assume your unit is four wheel drive, if so I hope you have the same type tires on all four wheels, if not and you have turf on the rear and ag's on the front, you may soon start to hear a really loud clicking noise.
