L3400
/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifI bought an L3400 in 2004 that I sold back to the dealer last fall for quick cash.(family urgency) Now I'm in the market again and I'm looking to buy the same tractor.
I'm convinced my old tractor (L3400) had bigger R 4's than the one I was looking at. I asked the dealer about this and he said the tires to his knowledge are the same. The new tractor has Front: 27x8.5 and Rear:15-19.5 , both as specified on the brochure.
Back home I checked my invoice from 2004 and it says:Front 4350 FRDN (I'm noy sure about the last two letters) and Rear:ALR(or K)8855.
Is there anybody who can shed some light on this? Am I dreaming or are there other L3400 with bigger R4's?

There is not an option on R4's, only one size listed in the price book. I can only remember one size R4 on the L3400.

I have a brochure dated March 2004 and it only lists the R4's as Front 27x8.50-15 and Rear:15-19.5

I searched for the numbers on you invoice and got zero hits. Show the invoice to you dealer and ask what the numbers mean. If they printed them they should know.

I have a 2004 Kubota L3400 with Ag tires which are larger but my book says that industrial tires for this tractor are 27x8.5-14 front and 15-19.5 rear. Are you sure you had R-4's on your first tractor?

Thanks for your input guys!
I think I solved half of my mysteriy. In my Kubota information I found a list for optional tires.(2006) For the L3130/3430 the optional R4's are Front:ALR8869C 10-16.6
Rear:ALR8855 420/70-24
This rear tire is the same as on my invoice, not the front tire. So it looks for one or another reason I ended up with Grand L tires or a mix. I have to admit that I liked that setup better. I'm wondering if anybody knows if it would damage the tractor if I opt for the L3130/3430 tires for my new L3400?
