Please suggest width and make rototiller.

I purchased a second smaller Kubota (Mini-me!) for my orchard and decided to buy a rototiller to go with it.

The BX1850 has about 14 HP at the PTO. My soil is sandy loam and pretty soft. Even with my very steep hill the L3010 can till going up hill with a First Choice HD 1066 66” rototiller so I think I can push the width slightly on the BX1850.

4 or 5 years ago when I was looking for a rototiller First Choice was very popular with TBN users. I have absolutely no complaints about mine. Terrific ‘tiller at very good price. Having stated that, I was thinking very hard about going with CCM 42” or possibly a 49” ‘tiller.

Does anyone have any thoughts? I do live in Oregon and it did take some time to figure out logistics, but Pieter and I did make it work.

Thanks!

We put 50" Howard 200 series tillers on this size tractor with no problems.

That is very promising because CCM mediun duty is a Howard knock off via a Spanish Liscense.

Mine weighs 420 lbs.his will work for a long time. Should do 100% fine!

When profits go up again, I will be back in the game for a
4 cyllinder version Grand L...including a 66" Hd CCM update tiller!

I will be back with a big Kubota-but just doing research for now!

Wondering if there is a link out there on the Howard brand...

Thinking about picking up a tiller for my 1850 also... :)

Thanks

I have a 50" maschio L125 tiller for my BX23. No problems in hard clay. Not sure I would recommend maschio as the tines are wearing pretty fast.

I'm Gonna get the CCM model MR-110 for my BX 1830. I'll tell you how it works out.
