My G1800 has a dead kill solenoid, so the previous owner rigged it so that moving the throttle lever the whole way slow shuts the engine off. There is a zip-tie connecting the kill lever to the governor control.
Would someone with a G1800 or G1900 please take a nice detailed picture of what this is supposed to look like, so that I can put mine back the way it should be. I am going to replace the kill solenoid if I can get one for a decent price, otherwise, I'll add a separate cable-actuated kill lever.
I would like to do this, because, I think it is possible that due to this mod, I am unable to get max RPM's from my engine, which is possibly adversely affecting mowing performance and cut.
Thank you,
Jay
