Kubota BX2350, John Deere X530
Just got by BX2350 back from having the fender assembly replaced. I like what Kubota has done with the metal brackets. Looks good, with zero deflection in the platform!

The left side bracket is straightforward, as it's just a simple bracket bolted to existing holes on the frame as well as to the platform itself. Also notice that the platform is now bolted the the fender as well... I don't remember if they were bolted last year when I bought it(?)

The right side is a bit more complicated, as they had to create a bracket that would run toward the back of the tractor where the frame is unobstructed. Again, bolted to existing holes. The one pic is from the side, the other is the view from the rear end.

The attached pics aren't in black-and-white because I'm artsy fartsy... I just didn't notice that my camera was in "scene" mode.

Thanks for putting those pictures up. My brackets are being shipped directly to me so I'm going to post some pictures of the install process when they get here.

Just don't do what I did. I waited about 3 weeks from getting them, and CRACK went the fender. About one day before I had planned to install them.

See if you can get your hands on the Kubota service bulletin. I took a look at it, and it was very well documented. I think it was almost three pages of step-by-step pictures, with about eight pictures per page. Maybe the bulletin comes with the brackets?

Kubota pays the dealer a flat rate for 1.9 hours of labor for this work; my dealer says they've got the time down to 1.5 hours. I don't know if that included replacing the fenders though.

Good luck.

I replaced my fender last fall, so I'm hoping I can just put the brackets in without too much trouble. Thanks for the pictures; those brackets look like they are designed well. It doesn't look possible for the fender to break with those there.

Thanks for posting the pictures. My dealer was nice enough to send the kit, and I just got it installed on my BX2350 about 3 weeks ago. The picture for the left step supports shows a bolt in the upper right corner where the step and the fender are bolted together. The instructions are a little vague, but they seem to indicate to me that it is important that this bolt not be reinstalled. The plate on the right support covers the corresponding hole so a bolt can't be installed on that side. I left mine out, so I'm hoping some others will chime in on this point, just in case. This whole thing would have been a 30 min job, but I ended up having to take the right rear tire off and using a die grinder to clean up a poorly punched hole in the frame so the rear most bolt would go in. After it was done, it really firmed up the deck.

Oops, I waited too long too ! Stepped up today an cracked mine. Well, I made 80 hours, and was planning on getting all of the warranty items done at 100 hours. Guess I'll call tomorrow and get the parts ordered up. I'll let the dealer take care of the fixes.

you'll be happy to know then that the reinforcement kit makes a world of differance. I put mine on yesterday, an it is like night and day. Very very stoudt now when standing on it.
