So it appears this applies to the current B/BX models. Will this improved seat also fit the BX 2230? The Kubota Girl has complained about numb butt on several occasions.

My dealer confirmed that the new seat is likened to a cloud of heaven on top of a foot of vinyl-clad sunshine. Night and day from the seat I have grown used to, apparently.

I just got off the phone with my Kubota dealer.
Very pleasant, he wasn't totally aware of the seat issue, he did mention a bolt kit he knew about , warranty item for looseing bolts. Gave him the seat PIB# (PIB-2007-027) He thanked me for bringing it to his attention, is going to check on it, and get back to me. he even said nowadays the customers find out the details before they have a chance to pour over all of the paperwork and bulletins issued. That's all I can ask. More news to follow when I get my call back. |

Rediculous! Let's face it, the original seat "sucks" and we could even go as far to say it's probably unsafe, causing the oeprator to slide forwward, which then operates the seat safety switch, and worse, while on hills. In the Bulletin (PIB-027-2007) Kubota is painting the picture as an "opinion altering improvement". This is just a bit of legalese because they cannot admit that it is a real issue, or then they would be be in the position of replacing all of them, at sole cost to KTC. They wouldn't have a document titled B and BX Seat Program unless there was a real issue. It's really sounding like there is a disconnect between some of the dealers and Kubota. For everyone's sake, I certainly hope they get it ironed out and live up to their reputation. If some dealers balk, I can only suggest go to the source, call Kubota Corp. |
