In no way is it Kubota's job to be responding to anyone's seat problems. Kubota's job is to build top notch tractors. Its the dealers job to be taking care of the customer, fixing what breaks, and selling new machines. Frankly I think they sometimes do too much in responding to direct customer questions and complaints. If you missed out on the seat program, and if no one told you it was going on, thats no ones fault but your local dealer. We all got the bullitin and had a chance to do what we wanted with the seat program. Kubota deserves nothing but thanks for even offering this program that I am sure cost them alot of money. If its that important these seasts will always be available at standard parts pricing.

Just got an email from my dealer this morning: My seat has been ordered and they'll call me when it comes in.

I would assume the hole patterns for the arm rests are identical from the old sest to to the new or are they seat part# specific? Just curious since I am pondering upgrading to the armrests this summer.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
I have my new seat(of course I had to call the dealer to see if they were in). I can't see what all the fuss was about I walked in, had my seat and was on the way out in less than 5 minutes, piece of cake. Congrats Gomer! Hope mine goes that well too. I like my dealer fairly well, I don't expect any problems.

I have my new seat(of course I had to call the dealer to see if they were in). Did you ask them if they made it a normal practice of not returning a call when they say they are going to? That seemed to be the major problem that you were dealing with. Kubota can't make there dealers call people if they don't want to. Like others on here have said, Kubota did a good thing to try and fix a problem. |

Considering the length of this thread any tractor company wanting to sell tractors needs to do some ergometric research. Where the opperator meets the tractor is of high importance to tractor people. Interesting how many new tractor people have written that they test drove a Kubota and hated the seat. Any Kubota dealer with a tractor on the lot with a old seat is a foolish dealer.
