So having bought my new toy-the B2400 (tool, I mean of course!) We set off to flail some grass. All worked well for half an hour then the brand new flail started to "slip". The flail would slown down then start again with a slight jolt, drop off again then build up again and drop off again etc. I tightened the belts on the flail and left the cover off to watch it as it rotated and the belts weren't slipping. There isn't a clutch on the drivetrain or flail. The tractor was running ok without jolting. So am I correct in assuming that there is a transmission clutch which could be slipping in the tractor (a manual model) if so is there an adjustment or what is needed to repair it?
Thanks guys, have learnt so much from all these threads.
