Gear Whine
Will I ever get used to the Gear Whine and other noises that my 79 B7100 makes?
Driving my deisel truck all day then hopping on the tractor gets tough.

Yep..after a while you'll hardly notice the sounds,if not ear plugs

Re: Gear Whine
Ear Plugs and ear muffs do wonders for silencing all the different noises.
Like Thomas says they are a little mule.
Mine has all the loader pins worn so everything can be shaken by hand. In fact the lower two on the bucket actually wore out and had to be replaced but with a bolt and nylon lock nut. The loader frame and bucket have numerous welds on them from digging out rocks and tree stumps. The bucket cutting edge is wore out and needs replacement. I've also had it standing up at about 45 degrees trying to shove a tree over. It's pulled numerous rocks by filling the bucket with rocks and then putting as much lift on the three point as possible to get traction. 1600 hours and does not use any oil. My only complaint is the hydro pedal not centering properly anymore.
It has served me well.
