I remember seeing posts in the past regarding a parts list, pictures and cost to convert a B7610 from chains to telescopic stabilizers, but all of the links I can find now seem to be dead.

I know TractorSmart.com was one of the parts sources, but all I can find listed there is filters. (Maybe I just need to skip their web site and call them.)

Can someone point me in the right direction?

(v8dave, are you out there? I know you posted a thread on this topic at one time.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

I own a B7510, you should be able to go to your local dealer and get the required parts. When I purchased my tractor I had the stabilizers swapped out with no additional costs.

Are you sure it wasn't a B7800? (worth a search...)

You can easily do it on a 7610. I've done it to my 2410, and believe me, it's worth the trouble. It's easy to do and the parts will run in the neighborhood of $100. Call tractorsmart, he already knows what you need. I'm sure Messick and Carver do as well and have packaged the parts many times. Have them pull the parts book on a B2710/2910, everything is listed there for your 7610, no modifications needed, they fit right on.

Mike -

I made a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) from my invoice from TractorSmart (ca. 2005 - prices likely different!) - in reply to the same question in another thread (separate from V8Daves' original....) - but I can't seem to find that one either... :D

I think this list contains the same part numbers as what Maxqwest posted - only I think some of the part numbers come in "packs of 10" - rather than individual parts .... just something to look out for when ordering.

Hope that helps,

Dan

Guys..

Thanks for all of the replies. I really appreciate it.

I broke down and emailed Tractorsmart after posting my original message the other day. I got an immediate reply from Ronnie with a quote for $128.67 (including shipping). I called him the next day and placed the order.

The parts arrived yesterday and I installed them today. What a difference!! Now if I could just replace the cotter pin style adjustment pins with the ball-detent type I've seen elsewhere... Hmmm... I guess I'll have to give Ronnie another call.

Thanks again to all that replied!!!!!!!!!!

Mike

P.S. Nice B7610 pictures/web site Dan! AND I like that 3pt hydro top link! I must have one! There goes more money....

Based on information from this forum and this thread in particular I decided to install the stabilizer upgrade to my B7610. It was very easy (took maybe 20 minutes). And as much as I am changing 3 pt implements, I should have done it a long time ago! Definitely worth it in my opinion.

I don't use the hairpin clips anymore on the adjustment pins on my B3030. The pins are quite a bit longer than they really need to be so I figured I would have to hit one heck of a bump to bounce them out of the holes. So far, so good. Lot's easier to adjust the links if you don't have to mess with the clips. Not necessary IMHO.
