Even with the L39 ballasted to 8200 Lbs, it was tippy with this pepple.

I have my hydraulic turned up just a bit, and if it were not for the extra weight, I would not carry such a rock.

The L39 barely lifted this rock. I'm guessing 2,500 Lbs. It is about 7 feet across, 42 in wide at the widest point and 14" thick.

Borgford Grapple, and yes I've had to straighten a few teeth and do some weld repair.

Grapple
FYI Grapple is custom 66" wide and 675 LBS.

The Komatsu Excavator was used to move only 3 Rocks the L39 could not handle.

I load the 4500-5000 Lb Rocks on the front blade and hold it in place with the Hoe bucket.

The Komatsu excavator is 18,000 lbs, but I should have purchased a 15 tonne machine like the CAT in background or even bigger to really handle some of this stuff better. A CAT 385 or Volvo 460 would be the nuts if I could get one for a week. The PC75UU2-E Excavator will not handle any bigger rock than the L39 can carry. By handle, I mean pick up the rock and place it any distance from the machine center of rotation. At full extension out over the side the machine is tippy with +1,000 lb rocks, as the thumb weights over 400 Lbs and the offset boom and ZTR design hurts lifting ability. Over the blade the machine will pick up at full extension just about what the L39 can lift. My point is a mini excavator would be too small to complement a L39, never mind a larger TLB.

So wall building is best done with one ton or smaller rocks.

I am trying to do my best to clean up weekends from the blasting and major excavation going on to finish the foundation frost wall, big dollr 400A underground electrical, drainage, and septic trench lines, way to much of them blasted through darn NH granite. Also we are building this 50' X 28' equipment shed on a 4000 LB mix with fiber 35 yard monolithic slab. The area the slab sits on a 10' deep filled area from some of the material what I had blasted from the home site. The rest of the blasted material was used to build the 1/4 Mile road ino the place.
That little L39 must have move 1/3 of the material for the road. Knock on wood that the hydraulic cushion accumlator seems to be saving the hydraulic pump pushing the little tractor the way I do. I wonder why they are not standard, as factory installed would not add $100 to the cost of the machine.

The hydraulics are only very slighly bouncier, but is that a bad thing? I really don't even notice anymore.

That ASV RC60 beats the L39 in a Drag Race, but the L39 is a leatherman's tool.

I had to blow off for a few hours to take a ride with my buddy. Sometimes you can spend too much time on a tractor.

Wow, that's a lot of work, but you sure have a pretty site!

Guess you don't want to hear about my buddy that had a house built and a 50x100 shop and in all the grading, digging for footings and basement the largest rock was less than 5 pounds.

Made the house cheaper!
