ANyone know about Old Backyard Power in Maryland ?

Hi.

I need some service work on my B2150 and was just check the web to see if my local dealer have any specials.

One of the ones in my area used to be "Backyard Power" which used to be "Richardsons".

Apparently it is now "Marathon Power Eqpt".

Does anyone know what the scoop is about this "new" owner "Kevin" ?

Is it just a change of name or is it really a new owner ?

I stopped dealing with them when Mr. Richardson sold it because the new owner was a complete idiot.

If it really is a new owner, I might give them another try.

They are located in Woodbine, Maryland.

Sorry for the late response...we just returned from a week in Key West.

I have not personally verified this, but was told that Marathon has same owners as Gaithersburg and Frederick.

I have verified that it IS still the same owner (Kevin Smith).

I have not heard about the relationship with the other two, but I've dealt with them.

If it is the same owner.... the level of service will be immediately obvious.

I needed some service on my B2150 and was trying to decide where to send it.

As soon as I found that this Marathon Power was the same guy as before, I went ahead and sent my tractor to Hickory Intl.

Hickory was pleasant, quick and reasonable.

They picked up my tractor within hours of my calling, and they had it back to me in a day too.
