I'm 100% on your side. I made that statement tongue in cheek because there was a big brew-haha in another thread with quite a few members saying R-4's are poor in snow. I think R-4's are fine in snow. I think the problem might be that some of the guys just can't drive in snow too good.

Finally got some snow to try out the new plow! All in all everything works good. I'll have to tweak the cab for a better fit but it did keep the snow off of me.

The best way to put chains on is to air the tires down put chains on as tight as you can and then air the tires back up. There will be no slop in the chains. CAUTION be careful the chains don't get too tight when you air then back up if they do back off 1 link and reair.

Here is a link to a movie, my wife made of my tractor removing about 6 to 8 inches of snow. It is about 100 megabytes long. It took me about 1 minute to download it and preview it. I made it with my 6 year old Sony Digital still camera. It was just about zero degrees F when I made the movie. The quality is just OK. It was our first movie with the still camera.

I spend new year at camp and had to open my 1 km of road then widen the other 2 km to help people who live on main road who live year round and us plow on truck.
