BX24 with a Patu DC 40 chipper

Wow,
another Rhode Islander.
Yes, I run a Wallenstein BX42 chipper and the tractor handles it fine. I can run it to chipper capacity with out any power issues. Just check the weight /physical size of the chipper those will be the limitations of a 4" chipper.

Richmond, I believe you will have no problem as long as it's the manual feed model. The BX does not have enough hyd flow to run a feeder.

Well I bought it, for 1,000$ worked really well off the back of the sellers 1980's Ford tractor. Now I just need to take it out the back of the truck and put it on the BX.

I have the BX 42 as well, but I am not shure at what rpm to run my BX24?

3412 RPM equals 540 rpm at the rear pto. That is the minimum speed to run the chipper at. I just run it full rpm.
