Some years back I built a small barn for chickens and trenched in electric etc. A few years back the chickens went into the soup pot and the fencing went away and the barn became storage. The grass came back around the barn and we mowed it. Life was good. Last year, after bending up a set of mower blades
I found that an old tub had been buried there. Some recently deceased ground hogs and frost apparently helped expose it.Now that I have the BX2350, I got rid of it. I used the FEL to dig a ramp down, Laid the tub on it's side and brought it out. The wierd part is that I built a barn on one side of it, trenched electric on another and never knew it was there! ![]()

I guess we never know what we are going to find on these old homesteads! Good job with the BX getting it out of there. It is amazing what those tractors will dig.

That tub was likley used for watering cows and had dirt pushed up to keep it there. Save the tub, it's still a great use if you get large animals. We used one for years.

Don't think you can see it in the pics but one side is broken and has sharp points and it had no drain plug. It's on the back of the truck ready for the recycler.
Back in the early '50's there was a fire in the house and I think they buried the tub when they fixed everything.
