Default L3400 Site Glass

I know this sounds dumb but I have lost the oil level in my site glass. Now I am not sure if the oil level is above or below the glass. I have tried doing some measurements and a dip stick but there must be a way to get it back in? Can one of you bota vets give me a heads up?

You can just unscrew the site glass and see if it pours out. Be careful since it is made of hard plastic.
