What engine RPM does the L3240 reach to get 540 PTO RPM?

I believe that engine speed of about 2650 for PTO operation is quite normal and applies to all of the Grand L series. That is what I find on my L3130. Just remember that the engine was designed for continuous operation at that speed.

I do tend to operate at 1700-2000 rpm for non PTO work. It is adequate power and quieter. I do raise the rpms to about 2400 when doing FEL tasks at max load for faster response.
