It is possible to leave the key switch on my G1800 in the "ON" position when removing the key, which is what happened mistakenly when I took a break from mowing to eat dinner this evening ( the shutoff solenoid has never worked on this unit since I've owned it -- so it has a manual shutoff). Anyway, so, after about 35 minutes, I start it back up, it makes it about 50 ft. or so, and starts to act like it is running out of fuel -- but, it has 1/2 take of fuel in it.

Is it possible that the fuel pump overheated and died because it was running so long (key-on) w/o the engine actually drawing fuel?

The fuel pump was the problem. Messick's shipped one quickly, and I'm back up and running.
