no genius ideas here I fear. I have the wheels in front of the implement on my harley rake, but I think the float would dig in too much with a regular rake or blade.

Is raising the seat still working out for you? I could see adding that to the project list this year.

I'm still loving the m59. Really great tractor. Still haven't taken the backhoe off though!

rscotty - question, are you still happy with raising the seat? That may be on this years list.

I remain very happy with reversing the thumb pedal. Much more intuitive

have any of you owners figured out how much fuel you burn yet?

I'd shake the bushes some on that one. We've had shop manuals available for awhile. The turbo hose is used on tractors that have been in production for awhile, I'd be surprised if that was a real issue.

Could you give some more detail on the turbo hose? My M59 is in the shop now, I would like to bring to their attention now if there is a recall or problems with it. Part No.s or any info would be great.

Thanks.

yeah there was a recall on a short connection hose - probably done on yours if its a new tractor, but worth checking

They changed mine in 15 minutes.

I placed them side by side and couldn't tell the difference? Good ol' Kubota quality control.

Charles, I still haven't reversed the thumb pedal. Don't know why as I am sure you are right.
Raising the seat helped my back a lot. I also isolated it from some of the vibration. It uses simple parts but is well worth doing. More erect seating also gave me more ability to tap-dance my size 13 shoes past the left side when reversing to the backhoe position. Downside is that I still need to raise the handbrake lever so that it is more convenient to grab. Of course the handbrake is weirdly placed by Kubota on the wrong side of the tractor anyway, so I may change that at the same time....gaining more much needed tap-dancing room mentioned above.

Here are some pictures of the parts that I used and how they fit together....and the whittling on the back that occurred later in order to let the rear plate open up for the three point access. Guess I raised the seat about 2 1/4" in front and 2" in the rear. The additional height in front is provided by some soft rubber washers that you can see in the pictures. The bolts are metric from Lowes, the rubber bushes are some I had in the junk box which normally space the cab from the frame of 1960/70/80 vintage Chevy pickups.
enjoy! rScotty

Thanks a lot - I'm 6'5, size 14 shoes, so I'm suffering from the same issues. Can swing the seat, but there's room for it to be easier.. I'm almost certainly going to do your mod.

Switching the hoses for the pedal took me around 5 minutes. Really easy.

Have you used the 3 point yet? How was taking the backhoe on and off if so? I still haven't done it.

Well I hate to say it but mine is back in the shop. It would not start with seat in rearward postion (just the seat switch) the real issue was the B/H boom would not retract far enough to allow the boom lock to be engaged.

This reminds to ask yall when retracting the boom is the last couple of inches really slow?? I assume its to prevent from slamming the boom up when retracting it? In any event something wrong with mine so I waiting on a new boom cylinder..

and here is a few mandintory pictures...
