Tractor
Kubota L3240
Hello, I recently purchased a new L3240 with LA514 loader. When I went to pick up the tractor it had a 72" bucket on it. Dealer said 72" bucket fits the tractor better and will cover the width of the tractor with R4 tires. I was planning on the 66 inch bucket and thought it fit the capacity of the 514 loader. I went ahead and took the 72" bucket. Does anyone know the weight difference of the two buckets? Will the 514 loader handle the 72 inch bucket? Any help would be great!

I was searching for specs on the 66" vs 72" bucket this morning. The 72" bucket has less than 1 cubic foot additional capacity. I would assume the only disadvantage of the larger bucket is the additional weight? Anyone else have the 72" bucket on a LA514 loader?

I guess that you won't have the advantage of the larger bucket for snow like we do here! The price book says they both weigh the same with the 72" being for light duty. The capacities are 9.9 heaped and 16. heaped, thats what the book says anyway! The price is 30 dollars in your favor!!!!!

I called my dealer and they agreed to swap the la514 loader for a la724. It would cost me $693 dollars. Both have the quick attach. Both are new. Can anyone here tell me if the the la724 is worth an additional $693??
