B21 & B2782 63" snow blower

I have a B21 and am looking at buying a used B2782 snow blower that was front mounted with hydraulic shute rotator. What will I need to do and purchase to make this work?

You are going to have to get a quick hitch and subframe as a minimum.

Does Kubota make such a unit for the B21 such that the B2782 will work with the B21? The reason I ask that is that I have that blower with my B3030 and the quick hitch for that blower is specifically made for the B3030.

The B21 only has a rear facing PTO at the back of the tractor reqiring a 3 point hitch for the blower and removing the backhoe. Is the quick connect and subframe still required in that case? Nearby Kubota dealership says they sell this blower for the B21 but I don't want to keep bugging them with questions regarding me buying a used blower from some place else.

It is forward facing on the B3030 using the mid PTO.

I can see how one could fashion a three point hitch arrangement, given there is a heavy duty flange with a couple of holes in it that do nothing on mine. Clearly it is going to require some special attachment to work on the 3 point hitch, but I won't post anymore since I am just speculating.

I believe Kubota offers a kit to mount the front blower on the rear using the 3pt. I am not sure of the part number??

I would think a non-Kubota branded blower might be cheaper though unless the used one is cheap. There always seems to be 3pt blowers for sale on Craigslist etc.

I've opted to buy a new B2782 blower and 3 point mounting kit which includeds the 3 point attachment and short PTO shaft. I would have had to buy the kit for $600 if I bought the used blower and the price he was asking for the blower alone plus the new kit would have been more than the new blower and kit so went that way. His blower had hydraulic shoot rotator which I wasn't set up to use anyways. Thanks, Clister

I agree it would be less expensive to use a third party blower made specifically for the rear PTO. Not to mention the need to modify the gearing to accommodate the slower 540 RPM PTO.
