I have a loud clack from the engine.
I would like to check valve clearance.
In the shop manual it says to position TC using the window and markings.
I looked and could not find the window.
Any suggestions.

It is a b7100 HST second series
2000+ hrs
Crossing my fingers.
Thanks,
Ken

There may not actually be a window as such. However, there should be marks on the flywheel and housing respectively. You will need to locate the mark (TC) on the flywheel and the mark on the flywheel housing, and then align both.

My service manual shows a reference mark on the intake manifold side of the engine. It is at the rear of the engine and looks to be about in line with the top of the oil pan. The manual show the engine out of the tractor and not connected to the clutch housing. I assume their must be an inspection hole.. Perhaps it has a cover. I just went out and looked at my tractor. It is dark and I only had a flashlight. I could not see any hole or inspection plate. It could be behind the fuel filter. I will check when I can see better.
