When my 3 point hitch is not installed, I'm always afraid I'll loose or misplace the 2 bushings that go on the ends of the lower link pin. I came up with a simple solution to keep everything together and also substitutes as a way to hang everything on the wall of my shop. All you need is 2 - 1" flat washers, a handle from a 5 gal bucket, and a short (10") bungee cord. Drill a small hole in each flat washer, just big enough for the ends of the bucket handle to fit through. Slide one of two link pin bushings over each end of the bucket handle, hook the flat washers to each end of the bucket handle, slip the flat washers over the ends of the lower link pin. Threading the bungee cord through the lift rods and hooking the ends of the cord to the link pin on the outside the flat washers helps to hold everything in place. Use caution when carrying this setup around, one slip up and you could be minus a toe

Dang! that is the best idea yet for the 3 pt stuff. I lost one of the bushing once for couple weeks. your idea would prevent this from happening again thats for sure. before i would always had to back it onto the sheet of plywood and unassemble and leave it on the plywood sheet while i was using the BH. i love your new idea so, i think i have everything except the washers big enough so that is on my high to get list .:D

BX Tex, that is a unique idea for retaining the pins. :D

But if I don't lose a bushing or something, what will be my excuse for the NEED to go to TSC or dealer for replacement parts? :):)

Ummm  .actually i mow around trees that has branches tooooo low and it all flat land. Don't worry - ill be removing these branches this spring for good and this winter one of my fall projects is to put rops back on and mount the lights in at the top of rops. right now i am using the holes in bottom half of rops for the add on lights. good catch though. i always wondered when would someone notice that. hope the safety police doesnt get me before then.:p
