Here's the setup. I've never used it yet. I bought it last year and it didn't snow more than a couple inches. I'm hoping mother nature will dump all over me this year!

The Barn and the tractor are nice but I don't like the gasoline and diesel stored in the building.

Smfcpacfp,
This........ is apparently Kubota's big secret. While drooling over Kubota's wholegoods list, i noticed they list a hydraulic deflector kit (BL2666) for the BL2664 rear blower. They also list the electric deflector kit (B2516) for the same rear blower. Since the B2516 electric kit is also the same one used on our B2782 blowers, i figured at least most of the hydraulic kit would fit my blower. After trying two area Kubota dealers (and having both argue that the hydraulic kit would NOT work on my blower), and making phone calls to a really big dealer in Pa. looking for answers, i called R.A.D. in Canada (the company that makes Kubota's ..... and other tractor makers' blowers) looking for answers. Unfortunately........ the last time i spoke any french was in 7th grade! I was able to understand that the two blowers shared the same chute, and the hydraulic cylinder and linear actuator fit either blower. I took a chance and bought the BL2666 hydraulic deflector kit figuring at a minimum, i'd be able to monkey-rig it to my blower. I was pleasantly surprised to find an application list on the front of the installation manual including:

L2173A
L2174A
L2185 / L2185A
F5220 / F5210B
BL2664
L2674
B2781
B2782

Why does Kubota ONLY list this kit as for the BL2664 ????? I dunno..... makes no sense to me.

The install was straight forward, i did it in a couple of afternoons. The kit is as nice as other Kubota accessories, complete down to the heat shrink tubing for the electrical connections.

The electric diverter valve is mounted to the rear of the blower, switch mounts on the joystick. Its the cat's meow !

This pic is about a year old and the diesel is now stored outside in a 300gal tank and the gas is stored outside under an shed roof.

JDeerekid,

The blade is 7 foot and I paid $2K. I have not pushed a single flake of snow with it yet and I'm hoping I don't push all the gravel off my driveway!

Glad to hear you changed things.
I'm in the process of looking for a small shed or storage building for my diesel and gas .
