LBrown59 I love the BX25 so far, the JD had some great things to offer, like the FW/RW foot pedal location next to one another and the loader with two hydro curl cyclinders, make it easy to buy or fab quick attach options like front forks. The BX has a smaller bucket too but it moves much faster and the location of the hose connections is 100% better plus I have the BH now. The Kubota loader comes off very easy, yes I need to get off and put the stand down but the hose location wins me over verses the JD 200CX loader. I had the Protero grass blower on the deck and getting to the hoses was a PITA on the JD, without the blower it would be no problem but that was not my case.

Here's my little snow machine. By the way, those pics were taken last Thursday.

I have front and rear chains that will be going on once winter sets in - need them to plow out some steep dirt road and drives in the neighborhood.

Igot the same blade.Iused it alot last winter,but i HAD the 3 point setup hooked up in the front bucket.Icould push the banks up 10 feet with it in there!Good rugged blade.

I have a question to seek your input before I proceed to waste time and steel. I have a 7510 with a Kubota snow plow. I have a really long (200 ft or so) gravel stone driveway. We always seem to end up plowing stone into the grass/pasture. The Kubota comes with pancake type discs on each end of the blade which seems to plow up a lot of stone.
I am considering fabricating "ski" like pads instead of the pancakes. Worth the trouble, an improvement or a waste of time?

Ithink it will work alot better.Ihave the pancake type on my plow truck,i took them off because caught everything.Ihave walk behind blowers with ski type,and ive even built them when they didnt.Works much better.Make it adjustable so you can keep your plow up off the ground ,until you get a good packed frozen base,then you can move it so it cleans up most of the new snow.Another idea would be a gauge wheel,like on a landscape rake.

I will have to take some pics to post but I just finished adding one of those $120 salt spreaders designed for a 4 wheeler on the back of my BX2350. I mounted it on the roll bar high enough so I can still use the backblade on the 3PH. So my set up is a front mount snowblower, backblade, and salt spreader with chains on the rear tires. My driveway is paved, about 800 ft long, with 3 90 degree turns, 3 steep hills, and a bridge. I have used the 2350 with snowblower and backblade for 2 years now with great success. I added the salt spreader this year so I dont have to do that by hand this year. Looking forward to a real test.
