L3240HST had 19 hours. Now has 22 hours after trying to put the quick attach bucket back on. Would not go back on. Finally noticed one arm cylinder was out a couple of inches more than the other. Called dealer and talked to mechanic. He said it was out of alignment. Said to put a piece of solid oak between arms below cyclinder and pull arm back then whack the other side on top of attaching bracket. Used a pine 4x4 and the cylinders reached almost equal amount out. Didn't have sledge hammer so drove into a rock but could/can't get the bucket to hook on bottom. Looking down you can see needs 1 to 2 inches to be able to push pins down to lock on back bottom of bucket. Went to dealer and told him I wanted to trade back to a B7800. Not enough money back so will have to try again to fix or take it to dealer to fix. Talked to mechanic while there and he said to whack it with a sledge, he said the jar seems to make it come back to even. Will try that and wait till some one with a low hours B7800 and some cash shows up to trade. Attaching pictures of before I got cylinders to equal out.

Roll the detached bucket forward and try propping it steady with blocks of wood and try starting over. Don't rush it and be acceptable to the learning curve. Sometimes you can manipulate the the lever to assist and sometime it takes a $10.00 cabled come-a-long. Make patience your ally and you'll get it done.

...and I know this will sound absolutely nutz but if you lower the 3PH all the way down that helps...but I can't explain it.

Had the same problem with my old L3130 QA adapter. It turned out to be that the adapter itself was tweaked. To see if the adapter is out of wack, level the good side with a spirit level. Once level, check the bad side. This should rule oue the adapter itself.

Oh, as a side note, when I took my tractor back for service and to address the issue, the **nm mechanic at the shop, (no longer works there) ground out the back of the bucket so the pin would drop in.

When I went to pick it up and saw it, well sparks flew. They ended up putting on a new adapter and got me a new 66" HD QA bucket.

6 months later, they still had my old bucket lying around so I bought it for $100 bucks. A little welding and now have both a 66" and 72" HD buckets.

I needed the 66" because it fits inside my 2 yd dumpster.

On my L3130 (essentially the same tractor) the Kubota bucket is the poorest fitting attachment for the QA. All my other attachments fit as they should. With the Kubota bucket the angle at the top of the hook on the QA is different (less) from the angle of the lip on the bucket so when I first pick up the bucket it hangs away at the bottom and the pins won't catch.

My simple solutions is to lift the loader and briskly curl the bucket so that the bucket bounces a little. It then lays flat on the QA and I can lower and lock the pins.

I have thought of getting out a sledge hammer and bending down the outer edge of the lip of the bucket to make the angles match but my technigue works every time so why bother.

Since I aligned the cylinders equal distance, I can pick the bucket up easy at the top on both sides. It's just the bottom is to far from the pins at the bottom of the bucket to go in. How do you use the come a long?

Tried again today. Whacked one side with sledge with 3 pt hitch down and no movement. Picks up at top perfect but bottom stays away from bottom latch. Here's a couple picture showing the distance apart of arms on one side vs the other side. Also had to throw in a view shot.

Your QA lever is bent in your first set of pictures if you didn't already know that.

The only problem I have is what Texbaylea has and I do the same as he does and it works everytime.

Looks like your tactic is not correct.
Try not curling it all the way back, I have to tilt mine fwd and get under the lip lift and curl back a little so I can grab the bucket and roll it up (by hand) and let it fall ( or slam it) then push the levers down. It works everytime.

So in reading the suggestions here, are we to assume that QA does not stand for Quick Attach?

Well...... you still have to put the levers down. I would say it is a poor mans manual QA.
Easier than the pin method.
There are hydraulic QA out there all done from the operators seat.

Looking at your photos:

1. your adapter looks twisted about the torque tube.

2. the left hand hook is twisted counter clockwise looking down from the top.

Lay a straight edge across the top of the adapter to check. The tops of the hooks should lie in the same plane both horizontally and vertically. I don't think that yours do.

This looks like a warranty matter.
