L2350 BROKEN BELL HOUSING

HAD A L2350 (about 1995 vintage) crack through the front end of the transmission - the dry part where the clutch/pressure plate lurks. A 4 whl drive with a front bucket. The bucket framework had dropped 2 support or connecting bolts underneath contributing to the problem. Gotta crawl under and check whatcha cant see otherwise. Now looking for the forward transmission complete or case to put it back to work. The forward end does not include the rear axle or rear half of the tranny.
Any body know of tractor wrecking yards with Kubotas?

Tractors with loaders and backhoes can have problems if the frames become unbolted. Some have issues even when properly bolted!

I'd check to see if it could be just welded first although somebody must have a transmission from one some where! It's just hard to wear out a Kubota if all things are right.

The crack is complete - 360 degrees - a vertical ring spaced about 2 inches from the front face of the bell housing/tranny. Pic later. The solution is another case with or without the guts inside. Nothing else wrong with the tranny - about 540 hours on the beastie.
Weld is not considered viable with the tranny also being the structure and being a 4 wheel drive and add the bucket to boot.

LEFT SIDE has a steering arm dropping down that covers the crack area except where the chain passes under you can see a hole.
RIGHT SIDE has the crack also covered mostly - but an area just forward of a visible access hole is where the crack is. The chain passes near the oil filter with the filter covering the crack area.
The crack is forward of the "wet" or oil filled tranny and is actually through the bell housing area. The chain keeps the structure together at this time.
Looking for forward half of tranny or the case.

Here's a Tractor House Listing for L2350 - Mid-South Salvage and West Kentucky Tractor Parts both list this model. Several other models should interchange.

When you put it back together pay extra attention to how the loader frame is attached - the reinforcement through the middle is very important on these Kubota models.
