We recently purchased an L340 HST with a FEL and a BH (75a) and I'm trying to figure out how large of a trailer to try to tow this beast around with. I've got the info about the tractor weight itself, but I'd appreciate it if anyone knows how much the FEL and the BH weigh. Of course, any trailering suggestions would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As you know you tractor weighs about 2600lbs.

According to my loader manuel, the weight ot the loader is 895lbs. But it lists the bucket weight at 260lbs. I have never given it much thought until now but does that mean a loader adds 895lbs or 1155lbs (895+260)???

At any rate, you are looking at a total machine weight of around 4800-5000lbs if the tires arent loaded. This puts you close to the limit of a 7000lb trailer.

If you don't plan on towing it with the backhoe that often I'd opt for a 7000lb'er. If you plan on towing it all the time with the backhoe, I'd look at getting a 10k trailer.

As stated you might be able to get buy with a 7000lb trailer but the 10,000 would be a better one to carry the load and give some reserve if needed.

A concern might be over the distance and the type of terrain in your area as well as the frequency of use. If it is just occasional use and not much of a distance then the 70000lb might be right.
