I hooked up my BH yesterday to repair a broken septic line and was shocked when I heard a fairly loud screeching noise come from the boom while going for the first full extension. It took me a minute to realize that the noise was due to the fact that the boom cylinder rod was bent so bad that it could not go past 60% of the way into the cylinder tube. I have only used the backhoe three times in the three years since I purchased it new from the dealer. My questions are: 1) Has anyone else experienced the same dilemma and if so what was the cause? 2) Does anyone feel this could have been from storing it without any type bracing. (I took it off with the stabilizers and the bucket and left it there with it propped up on blocks under the main frame only. 3) Being as the OEM rod only is over $400.00 does anyone have any ideas for aftermarket (i.e. what to watch out for, where to go...etc? Ideas and help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to TBN:D

If you do a search, unfortunately you will find this was/is a all to common problem with the BH75 hoe. There was an updated cylinder I think that some got form Kubota I think to correct the problem-you may want to talk to your dealer.
