L3710, reducing width of rear tires

I have an L3710 and I'm looking to get a snowblower. Of course I have to get one as wide as my tires and in measuring noticed that the rear tires seem quite wide, maybe set up that way for stability as we use to use it in the woods a lot. Is there a way I can adjust them in by switching rim/tires to opposit side or some other way? Picture attached. I could save a few hundred $$ on the snowblower if I get the next size down.

Normally the snow blowers are grouped in chassis size just like the tractors and you can often go up a width for a hundred dollars or so in that group.

You are wider than you need ... Post a picture of the wheel and it will be very obvious as to the easiest way to go narrower a size or two....

Maybe not ... did someone mount R1s on R4 rims?

Not sure how the initial set up was configured for, other than my father used it in the woods mainly to cut firewood. Therefore I'm guessing that they got him a wide stance as he drove over a lot of obstacles.
Now all I want to do is to get this bigger tractor to a smaller size where I can possibly use it in my small lot.

This may seem ignorant but if I switched back rims/tires so that the curve of the rim was opposite that would bring in the tire enough were I wouldn't need the larger SB.

Do you have the owner's manual? If so it should show the different widths and how to configure the rim and center to get those widths. It is done by the way the dish of the center section is turn and which side of the lugs on the rim the center is mounted to and then the way the whole combo is mounted to the axle.

If you will look very carefully there is real possibility you may find unpainted parts the way it was first set up if ever changed unless a dealership did it and they probably sprayed the primer coat so it would match.

The best I could tell it looks like you should be able to get your's a few inches narrower. It looks like the centers need to be removed and either mounted from the other side of the rim or rotate the dish and mount it back. Can not tell that well from the pictures.

A real word of warning...changing both rear tires at one time you need to be very carefull to block that tractor so it can not lean (two sets of jacks or blocks under the rear end) and the front tire so it can not roll as the rear wheels have the brakes. Four wheel drive probably will hold agains rolling. Hope this did not offend you but easy to miss this. Have pulled and changed rear tires a few times but one time missed the two jack need and tractor all but fell with us.

From the looks of it you should be able to take the Right directly to the left and the Left to the right side, mount them with the tread pattern facing forward like they are now. That is to say leave the front of the tire wheel assembly toward the front and leave the wheel attached to the center.
This will hug the tires in a lot. and should end up just as you want.
Post a picture shot from the same angle as your first photo when you are finished.
BTW like kthompson said be careful with the back jacked up as the front axle pivots and could easily fall. KennyV

So KennyV if I understand you correctly, that the tire and rim assembly off the axel and put back on the other side in the same direction that I took it off. That was my original thought but that would bring me in a lot. That would work though and I'm going to give it a shot once I figure out how to jack it up and hold it like you guys warned.
