My roots go back to the same mower, however called an RX 75 (1988 vintage). I will say that 9hp motor really churns out some power. The one blade system has some serious lift and does blow leaves like noones business. However, I never really felt it was a "real" deere. I eventually let it run, and it hasnt come back. I do miss the wheelies it would do.

I had a JD stray sneak into my shop too. I'm Keeping it as a pet and to make the Bota vs JD comparison honest in my own mind.

I was just taking another look at the pictures and see the John Deere comes with something Kubota's don't - a big tool box!!!

It looks a lot like an old Snapper my father in law and uncle had.

I have two old John Deeres I haven't been able to part with so far.
