I have the 2 link ladder chains (with tensioners!) on this page; tractor tire chains for farm tractors
on my BX 25 and have no clearance problems. There is not a lot of room to spare but they do fit. I did put extra springs on the tensioners as insurance, but there were no problems before. I'm using turf tires.
If you have any hills, definitely get the rear wheel spacers from bro-tek. It's like a whole other machine with them as far as lateral stability goes.
I have a BX25 with A4's (thanks Barlows!), 2 link V-bar tire chains (thanks tirechains.com!), and the rear spacers (thanks Rich@ bro-tek!) and skid plates.
The beast can climb trees with this setup.
I have tensioners on the front tires since there's less clearance with the steering up front, but on the rear wheels the chains are just cinched down pretty tight.
Thank you everyone for the help. I removed the tire and put the chain between the treads on the tire and tighten then down good. Its very close, but appears to work. Its strange that a tractor would have so little clearance for chains given the snow blower option is ready available. Its a great tractor though !!
